Why Webinar-based Training?

The current classroom or face-to-face training programme is excellent in terms of learning but I can only be in one place at a time and the class sizes are limited to 6 people. Many people have asked for something that is more than the online micro-class. That is the webinar series.

While the learning delivered in a webinar is not experiential in the same way that the classroom is, there is the opportunity to question and challenge me on materials in real time. In addition, to make sure consolidation takes place, there will be assignments, something which isn't really possible with the online class.

Webinars will be run once a week at the same time so schedules can be worked around to ensure attendance. If you can't attend, recordings will be made available in the website for viewing later and for reference.

Why two programmes?

There are two webinar training programmes, one geared towards those in leadership positions (DMs, Instructors and Instructor Trainers) and one focusing on higher risk activities such as cave, tech and CCR diving. The general theory is the same in each class, but the case studies and the specific application to the skills is slightly different.

Diving is a global activity which means that attendees will be all over the world. So someone is going to get the dodgy deal when it comes to timezones. To help with that, all of the webinars will be recorded and will be uploaded within 12 hrs of the webinar.

In addition to the webinars, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and make comments in the course pages. This interactive process can improve learning.

Do I get a Certificate or C-card?

The courses are not underwritten by any of the diver training agencies so you won't get a bit of plastic. However, you will get a certificate on completion of the class. 'Completion' means either attending in person or watching the recorded videos in the course area and and passing the exam at the end.

You'll continue to have access to the class once you've finished and so have plenty of reference material to come back to or use in your own teaching.

What now?

High performance requires a level of commitment. Are you ready for that challenge? If this subject really interests you and you want to take your learning to the next level, visit the pages below. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.
