HFiD: Essentials

This is a course which is suitable for all divers, from OW/AOW through to IT/CD and experienced cave, CCR and technical divers. It provides a grounding in the theory of human factors and non-technical skills with numerous activities to consolidate the learning so you can apply the knowledge immediately.

The course consists of 12 video-based modules of between 5-15 mins long with lots of additional reading for those who want to dig deeper into the topic and take their learning further.

This course also has subtitles in Spanish and Italian with other languages coming soon. Access can be made via PC/Mac/Tablet/Mobile Device and videos can be downloaded to watch offline. (This course is available at all times)

HFiD: Applied Skills

For divers who want to learn through experiential activities and quickly build teams, this applies not only to instructors, IT/CDs, and technical or cave divers but also to recreational divers who recognise the positive value of team diving in reducing errors and maximising performance.

Two days of highly emotive and positive learning to consolidate theory gained from the HFiD: Essentials class, which is included as pre-class learning.

The outcomes include enhanced situation awareness, more effective communication, stronger briefing and debriefing skills, and the ability to form a team quickly. This leads to improved learning in training scenarios and more successful exploration in 'fun' diving.

HFiD: Masterclass

For divers who want to get deeper into the theory of human factors and non-technical skills, with the opportunity for more detailed knowledge development and reflection.

This course takes place over ten weeks with each week’s 2 hour webinar consisting of a specific topic relating to human factors, non-technical skills and just culture with the goal of improving both your knowledge and practical skills to improve your diving safety and performance. A short piece of homework is required to be completed prior to the next webinar to consolidate the knowledge.

Outcomes are the ability to apply a different perspective to your diving so that you make better decisions because you have more targeted situation awareness, you are able to communicate more effectively with your students or teammates leading to a more productive training or ‘fun’ diving team, and finally, to create both a Just Culture and psychological safety in your local diving communities.

(This course runs twice per year,  Feb-Apr and Oct-Dec)

Still not sure?

Diving takes place in an inherently hazardous environment. Technical skills (buoyancy, propulsion, trim, and equipment handling etc) and technology (CCR, scooters, dive computers...) will only get you so far in terms of enhancing your underwater performance - no matter how shiny the piece of equipment!!

We take our brain on every dive, and the HFiD programmes give you the boost to make better decisions, communicate more clearly, and be more aware because you've gained practical knowledge that is applicable and actionable tomorrow.

Waiting will not solve your gaps in knowledge - now is the perfect time to start. If you're not happy, there is always the 100% money back guarantee for the HFiD: Essentials course.

So why not start today and be better than yesterday.
